Has anyone ever removed the factory lights and gone aftermarket?

I just bought 2 stocker bulbs and both the low beams are out again. Short? Im fed up.

I'm not buying 2 new ones for 25.00 bux a piece again.

 

I was looking to do aftermarket lights as well but couldn't find a way to do this. So i just removed them all together. Does save a good 5lbs.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

By being a 4x4 your machine already has a 200 or 250 watt stator, so the sky is the limit. Stop by your local Walmart, they have some inexpensive custom offroad lights.

 

I was able top replace my stock bulbs with the Cool Blue bulbs. They are $15 a piece and are 55wt low beam and 65wt high beam. Man do they kick out some light!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] I got the idea from someone on this forum. Be warned, there was modifican required to the bulb to make it fit right.

 

I went with the Trail Tech lights. Just got rid of the lights and frame and made a plate to bolt them onto and used the handlebar clamp to secure. Much better lighting and I think looks better too. Lights weren't all that expensive either.

ScRaMbLeRiZeD - Do you still have everything from the stock lights? I have a trailblazer and I am looking at switching the lighting over to the srambler setup.

Do you have everything? Like the lights, the brackets, the guard, and any wiring? Also would you be interested in selling them? And for how much?
