Are we talkin about a 2x or a 4x4...Cuz i have trubble getting the front end up on my 4x. It could just be cuz i dont weigh enough but i dunno. I'd think it would be much easier todo w/o the extra 70 lbs upfront.

 

its the 2x4 but i only weight 133lbs so im not very heavy

 

i weigh 150 but with that 70 extra pounds up front it only gives me 80 of pullin power. I guess i have two options...Eat more or just mod the machine until i cant mod it farther.

 

yea man but u gota clucth kit on ur scrambler too. the stock clucth setup works good for me

 

it is pretty easy to adjust the shock. just open up the tool kit under the seat, inside you will find a tool that is specifically for adjusting the shock. then just put a screw driver through the hold and turn to the right. this will bring up the rear end. just play with it until you find a setting that is right for you. the reason i find that the shock is better this way for hills is because when you hill climb the rear end will be a little higher. this in turn will prevent the bike from fliiping as easily. not sure i am getting this out the right way but i if i were to draw a picture it would make perfect sense. i think i recall someone saying this about the sportsman. once i adjusted mine i found i was little less nervous riding up hills, but hey that is just me. the one thing i do know though is that i can now do wheelies without putting my knee on the seat. oh, and this is on the 4X4.

 

ajo771- how do those holeshots work on the 4x4's?? im looking for new tires just wondering how they did.

I love the Holeshots. I have the XCT cross country tire. It's 6 ply and has a more aggressive tread design. Four season 4x4 fun. The XCT dont slide as well as the Holeshot MX or Razors. Great 4x4 sport tire. Great tire for Maine.

could i do wheelies on the sportsman easier by tightening the rears?

 

What size sportsman are we talkin about here? If it isnt at least the 500 you aint doin wheelies. I own 2 sportsmans 400s and those thing suck for wheelies[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]

 

Get the seperate brake kit, the stock front and back at the same time is death on hills. You can hold the front brake, load the clutch a little and pull wheelie without so much speed, you can ride one all day going slower from the start. Ride On!
