You should be able to keep up with an ex with the hotseat kit, unless it has big time mods. My neighbors scrammy 500 can keep up with mine pretty good and i can stay next to a piped and jetted ex

I bought the hot seat speed kit for my 500 scrammy and was not impressed with the amount of money I spent. I liked the pipe the jet kit and the primary weights and spring. The rest can be thrown away. the k&n fitler is a joke for off road riding unless you want to rebuild your engine every year and the seconday helix and spring were way to aggresive. I took the hotseat secondary out after I broke all the buttons. Yes it did give me a great hole shot but I lost the top end speed. I decided to try the factory secondary with the hot seat primary and was amazed. Now I got my holeshot and top end speed. just to compare it with another quad I raced a v-force last weekend and in a 1/8 mile the first run I beat it. The second run the v-force did beat me by about three feet. I was really impressed although in a 1/4 mile the v-force would probably beat me by more with its faster top speed.
I dont know much about hpd but everything that I have heard has been good.
