Vortex cdi Update.
G'day guys.
Bad news-----
Tried the vortex cdi out today.
Sadly it didn't help the popping at all, which happens at 7000 rpm when I put the w/b on.
Now my patience is running low.
How much is one of those green 700 autos?
Good news----
Raced 4 c-grade m/x races today, 2nd 1st 1st 2nd. Naturally with the stock can on.
Now for b-grade.
Thanks Geoff.

Vortex cdi Update.
Thanks jcal & Modquad.
I've got the air force kit on with about a 172 main, and I also tried a slip on uni filter straight on to the carb, it didn't help.
This bike is very fast still with the stock can on, I was beating all of 12 bikes bar 1 shee to the first corner, and everone couldn't believe it was stock bar the airforce kit.
Slowly increase the revs and it goes to 9000 easily, drop it down and then thump it wide open and it pops at 6000- 7000rpm with the w/b on.
Sp700 may have a point about fuel delivery, even though I have a bigger jet it still not providing enough volume.
Thanks guys, Geoff.

Vortex cdi Update.
Hi Geoff,
Sorry to hear that your attempt with the Vortex didn't help your popping. I also have a bad feeling that your problem may be fuel delivery, either a bad line, fuel pump, or something plugged somewhere that's not allowing enough gas to get in under hard throttle. Since you popping was happening alot earlier (rpm wise) than most of ours, and you tried another stock CDI box, it HAS to be some other cause than electrical. Keep on checking, you'll find it now...there's not much else it could be but the fuel system!
By the way, did you get a chance to notice any of the other performance features on the Vortex??? Is it worth the money???
Take care,
and GOOD LUCK!
JJ
