Have a person in the area who owns a Xplorer 400 and he told me that he changed sprocket sizes and really noticed a difference in low end grunt. He had put 26 inch vamps on it and it slowed him down so he geared it so it went the same as the stock tires. Would this cause any udue stress on the drive train? he said with the new gearing it is working the same as if it had the stock tires on? If it is true then i see one good reason to have chain drive.

Yes the thing your friend says is true changing tirs sizes is just like changing sprokets. Like if u get big tires and u take off slow u have to get a lower rear sproket.

Though i would only be going 1 inch bigger in the back to a stoick 25 inch as opposed to a 24 inch rear tire. same brand and all. Though i may just go with a 24 in the front it is the only place i am having clearance troubles. the 24 ich tires looks so much smaller than 24 inch front tires.
