Supertrapp IDS2 exhaust instructions
#1
I am new to the forum but have read a lot of great tips and am hoping someone can help.
I have just bought a complete used supertrapp IDSII exhust for my Scrambler 500 on Ebay. Great deal but got no instructions. Looks simple enough but I can not seem to find info on supertrapp site or anywhere for installing, recommneded carb /jet settings or how to repack the thing. The setup came with the headpipe all hardware springs etc and I am going to install this weekend.
Does anyone have the directions for this setup or know where I can find the directions? Thanks

Install is very straightforward. Bolt the headpipe up first and then slip the silencer onto the middle piece, but don't clamp them together. Then slip the middle piece onto the headpipe and spin it and the silencer until you have the right angle that will let you bolt the silencer to the frame. When you have the silencer lined up, clamp it to the middle pipe, put the silencer on finger tight and then install your springs.
If you're using 4-8 disks, you should be okay with the stock jetting. If you go higher, put a 160 main in.

Do a plug check! When I put mine on I had to go up one jet size and lower the needle one notch.Made the old 425 really turn on.
