polaris oil

Default polaris oil

hi guys,is it nessacary to use only polaris 0w-40 oil? iam trying to find a replacement oil. thats cheaper and will do the same job. anybody find that oil? thanx,steveye.

I haven't used it yet but MOBIL1 Synthetic comes in 0-40W. Also AMSOIL makes a 0-40W...

I use Castrol Syntec 5W50 seems to work OK for me and its half the price. Mobil 1 synthetic ATF in front hubs, good quality Marine 80/90 in front diff, and Polaris transmission oil in trans/rear end.

I haven't checked in awhile, but the last time I looked I saw Mobil 1 in Autozone. I thought about trying it, but it was priced the same or higher than Polaris' own so I just use theirs. I only change it about twice a year so I just pick up a couple of quarts every other time I go window shopping.

Yep, Autozone, it is used in high performance Mustang model...
