The scrambler is the best of both worlds. It is a little utility and a little sport. You can climb better and go through more mud than other sports plus you can carry stuff with you. And, it is lighter, faster, and a lot more fun than a ute. I really dont notice the weight. Yeah, it is heavier, but it is a beast and built like a tank. Just look at all the more features that is has over sports. Plus, you can still do a mean powerslide, them go mud bogging. Acceleration is good, better than a 500 sportsman with a top speed around 62-63 mph. Now than mine is clutched and piped, it pulls a lot harder and I can stay even with a stock DS650 until he hits 4th gear, where as when I was stock, He has me when he hit 2nd. I love the 500 scrambler 4x4. It is the perfect all around quad

I love my Scramblers that’s why I own two of them. They are a bit heavy even my 2x4 which are 46 pounds lighter than the 4x4. If you’re not going to jump them too much or go in a lot of sand you wont notice the extra weight to much. Top speed is pretty fast. I think someone has mentioned that on other threads I can’t remember though. They are easy to maneuver and ride. I haven’t done much in the mud I suppose they are good. I have only been in the snow once and it seemed to run good even with a passenger on (packed by snowmobiles). They have good acceleration. There hardly isn’t any ATV that is going to be perfect for all of your riding needs. But I think the Scramblers are the best for me.
