Default Plugging a atv tire?

I tried to plug one of my rear atv tires yesterday and the plug kept migrating back out. Is it possible to plug a atv tire? What is the best method? Help

I plug tires all the time, because it's cheap and easy fix, a lot of people use that "slime" but I hate buying the stuff and when you go to change tires it's a mess. To plug a tire the proper way you need to buy a automotive style kit that has plugs, plug inserter, reamer, and cement. First you have to ream the hole so the plug will be about the same size and be easier to slide in, next put the plug in the tool and goop it up with cement now push it in till about 1/2" is sticking up.. That's about it. If you are trying to plug a big hole plugs won't work.

I have plugged tires all my life and never have had any problems before. What type of plugs are you using for the atv's?Do you up the air pressure or remove the air pressure?I know when I plug car tires I always have some air in the tire then after it's plugged I just bring the tire pressure up to normal.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Best to use the plugs that have the sticky tar like stuff on them.I have plugged big holes with them. One guy I helped had to put 6 plugs in one hole to get it to seal but he got to ride all day and a couple more days until he replaced the tire.I have 2 plugs in the sidewall of one of mine and its been like that for a year now.
