2000 TrailBoss Protection
#1
I am wanting to purchase a 2000 Trail Boss, but was wondering if they came with good undercarriage protection. I ride almost exclusively tight trails and woods. Does the trailboss come with a chassis skid plate, do I need to updgrade the swingarm skid plate? What steps would I need to take to increase damage control?
Thanks!

Good rig, great price, my son has one and I am usually behind him watching. The sprocket and chain hang lower than anything else and along with the disc brake are what you have to watch out for. The shaft machines all have much better ground clearance. The Trail Boss is a semi-sport.

Its a nice machine, my son has one and I also follow him. We went to Cochranton a few eeks ago and he cleared everything except one rock which hit the rear spocket no damage just some sparks.
Swing arm plate might not be a bad Idea. As far as the rest of the undercarrage I think its pretty well protected. And I might add he made it through the mud pit on trail C with no problem. I have about ten photos of everymachine made stuck in there. Though he weighs 100lbs just floated across.
