I hope to see some of these build predators this summer. Time will tell

I have talked to a lot of raptor owners that truely believe they have a honest 65HP only to find out they do not. More like 50

I do not read everything that goes on with polaris's but it sure seems like Superbikes shop is the only one that has a 580 running out there. I am sure mickey dunlop has a few fast ones out there too. He is a smart man and lots of forum users tend to overlook him. If i did not have a craycraft raptor and had to pick one that was out there i do believe that Mickey could build what i required.

I look foreward to seeing the superbike predators out there, cause it does not look like anyone else is going to have any this summer

We dynoed the white brothers and mbrp a few weeks back. They were almost identical to each other but the mbrp looks better IMO. The mbrp dynoed about a 1/2 hp better all around. Just the slip-on

The predator is not nearly as chocked up as the raptor. But with a pipe you gain about 3 on the bottom 2 in the mid and 4 on top. The peak power will carry to the rev limiter with the slip-on whereas the stocker drops off at 7500. I think the cdi box is going to be what the predator needs to be a contender. If superbikes can built one that makes power to 10.5 or 11K that would be a great racer. Around here the owners tend to hit the rev limiter and then the race is over

i think vortex is the only one who has one out now, it is programmable and revs to 10000 the way it is now. when i ordered mine the guy said he could program any curve in there i want. costly about 350 but we will see if it is worth it

Hey 700SpRacer...
You mentioned going from 50-60 hp by way of CDI and cams .... I was told that you could get from 50-60hp by way of new valves and porting work. So which is more efficient and what is the cost of the CDI/cams mods. Superbikeshop if I recall right told me around $700.00 with labor for port and replacing valves job.

CCTMAN, my Predator has all of the head work, and big valves. To see 60 HP your going to have to have better cams and a CDI box with a totaly different timing curve and higher Rev limiter. The stock cams are excellent for almost all applications but all out racing. Gary is working on CDI's and some cams now. Should be available before to long. I agree with 14MINS, a true 60 Hp is not going to be easy to obtain. I know the dyno we tested my bike with only made 31 HP stock. So I hope we get similar numbers when we head out to Texas this summer. But no two dyno's are the same.

SP700Racer ...
Do you have a good email I can use to contact you regarding questions and numbers on your setup? It seems that I would like to eventually go the same route you are going on your bike. I still have to get rid of my banshee first, so I hope I wont be dissapointed in the Predator.

-Thanks!

Maybe So, maybe not as exciting as a 2 stroke, but if you want to know my defenition of dissapointment it would be driving 15 hours from Indianapolis to LS Oklahoma for the dunes just to have my high compression banshee blow a head gasket the first day. No thanks! The sound of a 60hp 4 stroke sounds better and better each day.

-Just my two cents worth.
