500 or 600 for wheelies
#1
i noticed the twins don't have all the transmission in the rear like the 500 does, and the whole engine looks like its up farther, so I'm asking is the 600 harder to do wheelies with than the 500??

They both have ample tourqe to pull off a wheelie, but a wheelie is only as good as the rider. It takes experience to do wheelies. I have never been good at holding out a wheelie on any machine, just don't like the feeling of going over backwards really. But either machine is very capapable, but they both have a different balance point that you will just have to find and get used to!

Kblazk, I didn't respond to offend you, I was just being honest with my opinion. I understand people ride Sportsmans more aggressively. I personally don't and don't condone it because it's more dangerous on the bigger machines. I just don't want anyone to get hurt. Getting hurt sucks!

kblazk, I happened to look at your website and noticed that you don't wear a helmet. Not to smart if you are going to ride the way you do. I've always wondered why racers (when they jump and ride hard) wear helmets? Some people seem to think that it's not neccesary, but these racer guys do. I'll side with the professionals thanks.

if you have a little commen sense you can take that helmet off when your only going to be riding for 5 minutes which is what that was. We wern't out riding i just wanted to get some shots for the webpage. Whenever we go out for a real RIDE we put our helmets on.

Again, common sense tells me TO put a helmet on. The professionals don't take their helmets off for a photo shoot do they? What about the magazines? All the photo shoots they do the people are wearing helmets. So these people don't have common sense? Oh well, do what you want. Don't ride in my town 'cause if I see ya hurt without a helemt I'll just ride right by.

I would have to agree with Expert on this one. It only takes 1 time to get hurt. I have done that a few times. Take the quad out and try to do some tricks for the camera and almost lose it. I have a picture in my website of me doing a donut and coming very close to flipping, and no, i was not wearing a helmet because i was just showing off for the camera. I had too many close calls and learned my leason. Not tryin to critisize you or anything, but I would hate to see someone get hurt even though they were only riding for 5 minutes. As for the 500 and 600 wheelie. I aggree with Pudl. both machines have enough torque to pick the front up. You just have to find the where that torque comes in at and find the perfect balance point.

expert140 is right.. it only takes a minute without a helmet.. sounds like
a poor excuse to me.... and, he wasn't being smart, just realistic.. utility
machines are'nt bought for doing wheelies.. that's what sport bikes are
for...
If you're asking which one has more torque, it's by far one of the twin
atv's(600/700)...
People also get on this website and ask what is top speed, or which
is faster between two utilitiy machines.. that's just stupid... if you're interested
in top speed or wheelies, do yourself a favor.. don't buy a utility machine, you
won't be satisfied if that's what you're after..
