Sounds to me like you trashed your machine. You gotta pay to play whether that means buying the parts or taking the down time. My Scrambler is in pieces ready for an engine rebuild. I have to wait for the clutch pullers to come in the mail this week. Once they come in and I disassemble the engine, I'll have to wait for my parts to come in. Who knows, some of that stuff might be back ordered for weeks.

I agree you have to pay to play---HOWEVER!! that is no excuse for rude treatment by a customer service rep. With a 2003 machine I would expect a wait on ordering parts as that is a new machine. No excuse for the rudeness tho. I think I would ask for a management person at that support number and report that person's skills or lack there of. Our local dealership has always been pleasant even when they could not just pull my parts out of thin air.

talk to your polaris dealer,he's the only one who can wake their *** up,
in general it doesn't take that much to get parts for scrambler, you really need to get the point straight with your dealer....
as far engine rebuild,i remember the wiseco pistons shortage some years ago,it was real pain to wait for those parts during the happy summer days.

tblazerdad,

Sorry you're having trouble with Polaris Industries.. and unfortunately, when
we speak with a customer service rep( and they're having a bad hair day), they
are Polaris Industries to us.. this behavior should not be tolerated and just remember,
everyone has a boss.. get names, dates, conversations, write it down, you'll surely
forget it 3-4 weeks from now.. do it while it's fresh on your mind.. then get on the ole
compooter and start spittin out letters to Polaris.. let them know what's happenning
and how unhappy you are.. and make sure you voice this to your dealer service
manager also...maybe they can put the pressure on Polaris to do the "right thing".
Make sure you point out the long delays in getting your quad fixed.. make sure to
let them know if this isn't corrected soon, they will lose another sale to you.

It really doesn't matter what kind of damage or how it was sustained, you are the
customer and you should be treated as such.. the previous post that tried to justify
Polaris' behavior because he assumed you trashed your quad is totally an absurd
and offensive post.

I'm a huge Polaris fan but that gives no one the right to be rude or bash a customer
and not do their job...your dealer is not the only one who can help you.. you can help
yourself by getting the proper peoples attention at Polaris Industries on your specific
problem...I would expect a resolution and if I had to hire an attorney to write a 200.00
letter to get Polaris off their butts to fix the problem, I'd do it...you can get the company
executives names right here on the internet just by doing a search of Polaris Industries.

Oh, and make sure you send all your written correspondence certified mail to the
appropriate people... that way a flunky can't put it in their inbox and and let it
stay for several weeks before the boss gets the letter.

I've had to do this type of thing a few times in all my years and I've had good
success with any problem(s) I may have encountered... usually when it gets
to a certain level of management, the attitude changes and becomes more
professional to deal with..and things start to get done that couldn't get done
previously.
