the 450r is only a 4 valve head, makes about 5hp less than the yfz, and has 2" less suspension travel all around, but it is pretty reliable. oh, and you have to pay EXTRA for electic start... WTF??? this is 2008! not 1988!

but overall the yfz motor is WAY better for racing, the honda is better for long term things like the baja 500, etc.

 

I'm just going with the question. The 450r even with e-start is still cheaper then the yfz and for an additional $350 you get the HRC kit this bumps you up 10-15 hp and any of these machines if you're going to be competitive you need to through $1000-2000 in suspension. the ktm close but theres still room for improvement.

 

Some Chinese POS is the cheapest ATV, and the Thundercat 1,000 is the most powerful, as far as I know.
