-yamaha for my friend jimmy, yamaha trikes are amazing [tri-z]
-uncle has a 250 polaris, all automatic, shifts all fd up, but damn can it ride
-kawasaki = dirtbikes
- polaris [with my expierience] sucks ***
- and articat is just trash. the only thing there good for is snow mobiles, and even then their iffy, every one i know who has an articat hates them.

Suzuki all the way!
Owing both a Polaris and a Suzuki, I can tell you that I will never own another Polaris.
For starters, the Polaris is not metric--only the engine (by Fuji/Subaru) is metric. All other fastners are SAE!
You're stuck carrying & switching between two sets of tools-what a pain.
Seriously, Polaris--WHAT WERE YOU THINKING? The 70's ENDED 30 years ago--why are you still building non-metric vehicles?!! (EoR-End of Rant).
For quality, reliability, and resale value, Suzuki (and the other Japanese manufacturers) can't be beat.
I'd sell my Predator today, but, like Polaris products in general, the resale value is very poor. It is worth more to me than I can obtain in the market, so it sits in the garage--continuing to depreciate.

I don't know about the "4 poke" my water cooled EFI Suzuki LTR450 is anything but a slow poke. There are a few 2stroke dirt bikes out there that are still trying to figure out where that quad came from that went smoking past them in third gear, There are also a few of the big dirt bike riders that still look behind them when I ride with them from the day I pulled up behind them as we went smoking down a dirt road on a trail ride. I admit on a flat out dirt road haul A** run I had a LTZ400 start to pull away from me when it was top ended and I was in fourth because my front tires were starting to float in the gravel but when we got off the road the 400 did not stand a chance against my widetrack racing quad outfitted with wide desert racing tires under it.
Everyone has their preference to the quad they ride. I heard many good things about the Rapter when I was shopping around, When I got my 450 I was leaning to the new Polaris 550 racing quad with its four wheel independent suspension; however there was a brand new Suzuki LTR 450 sitting next to it and it was about about two grand cheaper (on sale) so I got the Suzuki and I firmly believe I bought wisely.
The only downfall of my 450 is that its like the 1970's muscle cars. It runs like a bat out of hell, corners like a sports car, climbs like a goat; however, it loves its go juice (gas) when you put your thumb into the carb the bike responds to everything you ask of it but gas milage sucks..Oh Well I guess its just me.. having a kick Butt ride is worth whatever fuel is used to have fun.
