Pre-quad days.....New ATC 110 from the Honda dealer. First new machine I ever had, instead of beaten hand-me-downs I always seem to end up with. Think it was either a '81 or '82. Dad thought it was a safe alternative to a dirt bike. But man....what a scary machine that was. It flipped on me all the time, ran it into a pond, off a bridge with no railings and broke through the ice with me trapped under it, had it run over my legs when I touched my foot to the ground on impact, no front brake.....but boy was that thing fun! It just ran and ran and ran. I gotta think those original ATCs were the root of Honda success with future 4wheelers. They simply would not die.

I think it was a 1983 Suzuki 250 two wheel drive. They made me call it a Suzuki dune buggy in order to license it. 1985, they wouldn't let me relicense it.

1984 honda trx 200...check out my pictures in my sig. i still have it! it still has the original ohtsu tires. it is in mint condition, and have had ZERO problems with it. i took it in once like 10 years ago for a check-up, and they said all they could find was dust on the brakes. the original battery lasted a good 15 years, but every aftermarket battery since really sucks and dies after about a year, so i just pulled the battery. it pull-starts with one pull, even in winter, and runs like a top!

An old 80-something Yamaha Moto-4 90. Never gave me a bit of problems. Then it just went from there I guess, I went onto my Dad's Foreman 400, then onto a Foreman 450, and now on my Foreman 500. The funny part was we lived 30 minutes from the Polaris Factory in Roseau. We had one Polaris too, but it was an old one and gave us a lot of problems, looking at the ones now compared to that is like .

We had a couple Honda ATCs, a 110 and a 250, they were tippy, but indestructible. They went through hell but never missed a beat, they were amazing machines.
