What was your very first quad?

My first bike was a Honda Z50, I raced it and started moving up. My first quad was a Blaster, it was the biggest POS when I bought it for $200. I completely stripped it down and rebuilt the entire thing, including the motor & bottom end with very limited tools @ the age of 13

my first machine was an 81' yamaha tri-moto 125, i used to tell everyone it had a yz 125 engine like my brothers 77'... "silly kid". anyway i traded the tri-moto for an 85' tecate 250 and started racing, but i just love yamaha power bands. so i traded the tecate for an 85' yamaha tri-z 250 put a lot of mods on that one, in the days when brands like "white bros., west coast, mitcell, poweroll, and boysen" were the hot companies. the engine was built by "klemm research" if any body remembers them. i just got back into sport and bought an 09' raptor 250 for my daughter and a yfz450r for me. atvs are a life style for me, and proud to be a member of this site.

I got the bug from riding the **** out of my cousins mid 80s trx200, that was around 2003. Then I finally saved enough to buy my own bike in 2006, it was an 05 250ex....I LOVED IT and wanna get another one for my gf and to play on.. =)

My first quad was a 2000 Blaster. Bought it cheap, no rear brakes, back tire couldnt hold air too long, but boy was it fun. I intended to fix it up, then realized I rather spend a little more money and get something newer, with Hydraulic brakes and with Reverse. Sold it and then bought a Z400 a few day later. Now I want to get a 4x4, and hoping I can get something inexpensive enough to keep the Z as well.

When I was a child we rented a home on a 15K acre ranch outside of Santa Barbara in a area called Gaviota. Our driveway was 3 miles long. My parents purchase a 1984 ATC 185s for me to take back and forth to the bus stop every day. I was in 6th grade through 2nd year of High School.
We then moved back to Norway in 1984 and I missed my good old ATC. I went back to the USA several years later to bury Grandma and purchased a 1984 ATC 250SX with some of the money she left me. I shipped back to Norway. That was my 2nd baby until I moved back to America in 1994 for a new carieer. The export business!
Man those were the days! I still to this day export ATV's and motorcycles to Europe as a 2nd income thanks to my prior transportation. (only problem back then was that I would rather ride the ATC all day on the ranch then go to school as a kid!) :-) Thanks Mom and Dad for getting me started!!!
