I agree with you MooseHenden. It has gotten out of control. Clinton had payed it down for the first time in a number of years that I do not recall. Maybe it was the first time ever? Bush's war sent it out of control for no real reason. But, although I agree Obama has sent it out of control I believe unlike most that it has done good. If the government does not spend money to help the economy who will? As I said I personally have seen benefits from it as has my brother in law who was employed because of it.

Don't get me wrong moose. It's bad to be in debt this far and it will probably catch up to us but, at least it will buy time to figure out what to do.

Who is attacking whom? Typical once again for liberal to have to resort to childish name calling.

It's not "name calling" it is a description of your actions and your proving my point by saying nothing on topic and just attacking me, AGAIN. You sound like a 14 year old on xbox live man.

I don't visit this forum to be slandered and I'm not interested in having a slandering contest. Does it make you fill like a big man (or 14 year old) talking to me that way behind the safety of an internet forum? Are you just intolerant to any ideas other than your own? Do you live down the street and mad because my dog crapped in your yard? I don't get it.

It's just my thoughts man, so what if i'm wrong, I'm not trying to run any government, I live in OK i can vote Democrat all day and it won't make a bit of difference.

Riiigghhhttt. Calling someone who disagrees with you an “ignorant ***” and a variety of other names really shows how well versed you are in the subject matter.

The only “slander” is coming from you. Simply telling someone they are wrong or incorrect isn’t slander. I am very tolerant of different ideas, but when you are wrong I’m going to call you on it.

Yes, because once again that shows how irresponsible one is. It’s your dog; it’s your responsibility to clean up after it. Expecting others to clean up your crap is very typical of those on the left, and no I’m not being facetious.

OK I'll admit when you posted, I think it post #48. I turned off reading half way through. I just read the first few where you quoted me and got upset because, it felt more like you were calling me ignorant than calling me wrong. Maybe I read it wrong whatever, I apologize. I will debate the topic properly if you wish.

I do understand what socialism is. I understand what capitalism is. Neither will work (in a good way) in pure form.

The socialist ways of allowing the Government to control certain aspects of the economy can be a good thing. I just read where the court appealed some old law that disallowed cable companies to hold over 30% of the market. It forced them to allow other companies to buy or rent the lines that were dug and put in place in 70's. Basically prevented a monopoly. In a true Capitalist country the US government should be hands off in this scenario. Right?

Feel free to give me your views. I will respect them. Oh, and my dog stays in the back yard and potty's only in designated area's. : )

A real poll??? not politically connected??? Let's not forget about the news media like CNN, CBS and ABC who are so far left....FOX seems to be the only news media who reports the facts as they are. With that said, FOX continues to report Obama has failed miserably and falling backwards as each day passes. Now to gain ground he is sending our children messages via the internet during the middle of the day when we are at work through our school systems. Seems the only people who support his values are people who can easily washed with his speaking . Will he stop and think about what he as done so far....he never seems to stay on track always changing his mind. Just thoughts...

He's of the ilk that believes the money flowing into Washington DC from private industry and the citizens will never slow or stop. The worst thing you can do during a recession (whether it is government or private citizen) is to keep spending and get deeper and deeper into debt. With the privated citizen it can lead to repossession of cars, homes, etc. With the government it will lead to deficits where we may not be able to handle the interest, never mind the principal. It will lead to either higher taxes for all, or printing more money which will devalue the dollar. Either way, it seems the bunch up there in the Senate, Congress, and White House don't have a clue about basic economics.

Koopa, I disagree with you my freind. You need to look back in the Clinton years and see who really started to pave the way to a zero deficit. It was not Clinton, actually it was George Bush, Clinton did nothing but enforce and ride the coat tail of his late policies and guess what...they worked. On the other hand, I do not want you upset, noone here is calling you names...you just need to look at facts prior to reporting your views. I agree with MooseHenden, Obama his administration or the uneducated politicans in Washington have NO CLUE what they are doing!

Getting into dept is bad but, spending is not. Without if nobody spends we will fall deeper and deeper into recession. Our economy must spend. Hell, how well our economy is doing is based on how much we spend GDP (Gross domestic product). If nobody in the country is buying the product, nobody gets paid!!!

The problem is just as you (and I do not blame you) most others are afraid to spend. Somebody has to to break the cycle. Who will it be if not the government. I'm not saying it's a good thing to be this far in dept but, I don't know what choice they have.

First off feel free to disagree. I will not take it personal but are you serious! Bush with Desert Storm sent it through the roof.
