My sportsman build

Not too bad a job to do. Well worth it in my mind. I put HD springs on the 2006 Sportsman X2 and loved it. I'm pretty heavy so it made a big difference for me.

I had the dealer put HD front springs on my first Sportsman 500. Between the weight of the winch and my big behind there was some sag and the HD springs were a real improvement. I didn't get them on this quad but sure have thought about it. Spacers about an inch thick using the stock springs is another alternative, but one I haven't tried.

That's what happened to me when I hit a stump and I sure did feel it. The handlebars turned as far as they could and jammed my wrist.

Seems quite appropriate that the bent tie rod is pictured along side a couple empty beer cans..
I know you didn't do it but a lot of my repairs over the years came from fellas feeling bullet proof. I look back and remember a few of the worst ones I've encountered and just grin..

Didn't notice.those were there.
That's how I would.have pictured this one, Jumbofrank. Handlebars turn, tie rod bends, and rider gets the bars to the gut. Ouch.
I've taken my snowmobile handlebars to the gut before, man was I black and blue!
