Default 50cc Coolster bogging issue

So, I bought a 50cc and a 110cc coolster knowing they were going to be a project. I’ve replaced everything from wiring, electrical components, and carburetor. The 50 cranks right up, and idles fine. However, when I give it throttle it wants to bog and die. I can lift the rear axle and do the same, but with no bog. What should I be looking at here? Compression is showing close to the same as the 110 of the same make that I’ve got, and the 110 hauls *** now. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forums.

Check out the Chinese section of the forums. Lots of great help in there.

Okay, so update: replaced the carb as I felt like it might be a fuel delivery issue. No real change in how it’s acting as far as the bog is concerned. However, now when I lift the rear axle so that I can disengage the brake, it seems like the motor wants to top out with no throttle given. What’s my issue here?
