Starts and idles fine, but bogs with any throttle, 03 Kodiak 400 Ultramatic
Starts right up and idles great, but as soon as I touch the throttle, in neutral or in gear, the engine bogs, spits, sputters, and sometimes backfires.
What I've done so far:
Gone through carb
Replaced carb
Replaced CDI
Checked ignition coil spark - very strong
Checked compression - 190 psi (WOT)
I'm at my wits end with this thing. I bought it brand new in 2003, never abused it, regular maintenance, and only problems I've ever had is bad needle valve in carb a few times and bad CDI about 8 years ago. Any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks in advance for any feedback.
