Honda 400EX Factory Upgrade!

I agree with kfx400rida get the kfx I haven't heard any problems from them and it's probably because they came out later than the z400 and maybe they corrected the problem. My z400 is only a few weeks old so maybe they corrected the problem on the later made suzuki's as I think they must have the kfx's. Either way you can get the bike and gusset the frame for like a hundred dollars. Which would just be like 5400 dollars total if you take advantage of suzuki's cash back option right now. You can see the correction to the frame of the z400 in the june dirtwheels magazine. If you get the full frame fix it's like 600 dollars but mine so far has no problems and I jump it regularly. The axle problem has supposed to have definitly been fixed.

I am considering the Z400 along with the 400EX. I had talked to a dealer yesterday that handles both Honda and Suzuki. The owner said that he hasn't had any Z's come back with problems as of yet. He wasn't trying to sell me anything. I just called to see if they knew anything about the carb. increase on the 400EX. I'm also kinda curious about the new Yamaha model.

Hey there...I rode the 400ex and then rode the z-400 and let me tell ya something...the suspention on the Z feels a whole lot better and you could ride it longer on rough trails before gettin wore out and the Z does have some what lowground clearance around the swingarm but with the skid pan you and lean back and wheelie over your obstacles! The z also has the liquid cooled and is faster then the 400ex so i am sold with the Z\KFX400 over the 400ex..But i still love the 400ex too...just like the kfx\z400 better.....I hope I helped!
