The 300 will get you around no problem, I'm 29 and weigh 205 and I've road a 300 and it got me through whatever I wanted hills, terrain, not mud. I just like the power of the 400's the ex isn't as powerful as my 400z but it's fairly close and I just like the added speed. Not having a reverse in the woods is a pain in the butte so I'd get the 300ex or try a different brand and get a suzuki z400 or kawi400 possibly even a raptor if you can handle a 660. Between these two get the 300 if you're always in the woods were you'll need reverse unless you want to get off and push and pickup the 400ex everytime you're stuck in a spot you can't complety turn around. If you've road in the wood much you'll realize you'll come to plenty of places you can't completly turn around. Good luck and God bless.

Go with a KFX OR Z-400....If not then i would chose the 400ex over the 300ex.

I dont use reverse unless I just have to. If I get In a jam in the woods I pull In the clutch rev her up and let her go and plow crap over unless it is really bad. Now that I think about it I would go 400. Thats the only reason I didn't get a 400 and I regret it sooooo bad. But overall Im happy with my 300 and you would be too.

300ex's are cool, fun to ride, easy to ride, simple to work on, and the 400 has all the same features, easy to keep a long wheelie on, tolerate alot of cr&p, jump well, and youll have the 100cc advantage over the 300ex also the 400 is lighter (2-3 lbs) Both are rider friendly quads.

I am 6' 200 lbs and the 300 EX my wife had was a real pleasure to ride for trails. We only upgraded for more sand duning power. My dad is 6'2" about 220 and has been on a Suzuki 230 for the last 12 years rippin around his farm, through the hills, and he wouldn't trade it for the world. If you like how the 300EX fits you, don't be afraid to get it unless you're a horsepower junkie. (like most of the guys on this forum! )

i would go with the 400 ex because its bigger, it can handle ur weight, not over powerfull like the 660,650,banshee350. smooth power, has some nice upgrades avaible. the quad is very very popular.the 400ex was the ist quad to start the 4 stroke competition with yamaha, suzuki, etc. it is a 4 stroke which means reliable.this is a must have.YOU DO NOT WANA GET MADE FUN OF ON THE LITTLE 300EX.
