I love my Warrior. I'm glad I got it instead of a 300ex (which I was comparing it to). The debate over which of those two is better will never end. I'm perfectly happy with the speed for the time being. It feels extremely solid. I only weigh about 140 pounds, but I haven't bottomed the suspension yet. The only thing I don't like about it is the turning radius. You have to steer it with the back end in tight places. After having a Beartracker I'm still getting used to that. What is a good pipe to get for it? I heard HMF was a very good pipe for a very low price.

My girlfriend weighs about 125# and I have the front shocks 1 click from max and the rear shock about 3/4 the way tight. She can hit the jumps much more solid and dive into turns much better. It doesn't try to tip near as easy either, much more solid all around.

I love my Warrior! Its an 87, and is still bulletproof, and believe me, I beat the crap out of it and it just keeps going! I heard somewhere that the Warrior is one of Yamahas best sellers, because of price and reliability, and would be a big mistake to end its production. I'll probably soon be stepping up to a higher performance quad(YFZ450), but the Warrior will never leave my side.

i do think it is kind of underpowered for a 349cc engine.

For an old two valve design, I don't think it needs more power. A little less power means more reliability for the frame and the engine. And besides, a two-valve engine is usually more reliable than a 4 valve.

trailbreaker, it seems to me like all you are doing is going to everyone of my posts to argue with me,since it is an old 2 valve design, then maybe they should make it a 4 valve or even a 5 valve engine, and honda doesnt seem to have a problem with reliability on their 4 valve engines.

And how does the engine effect the reliability of the frame?

Ahhh, ok, sorry it seems that way. More engine power means more stress on the frame, does it not? If it has been proven reliable, why change it? I never said Honda was unreliable. I know Honda is reliable, I have a Honda dirt bike. And hondaracer, I'm sorry if I offended you by saying I like my Warrior over a 300ex. Didn't mean to start anything.
