Whats it for. I just can't figure it out, is it supposed to keep your feet from touching the ground?

They help for that and also when mx racing keeps you from getting you tires tangled up with other riders. Also helps in the woods when going over rough terrain.

It would help say if a stick or sticks were getting slung up frome the front tire, it would be blocked by your fender and/or the nerf bars. on my 300ex they help ALOT,and if your on an mx track, they help too because if you hit a big jump the front of your feet will hit the net, instead of risking twisting your ankle on the pegs, they also give you the comfort of feeling that your foot wont hit the ground shredding your foot like reconranger said.

Next time you are out riding get up to top speed and put
your foot down and touch the ground in front of one of the
pegs and see how it feels after you broke your ankle or leg.
That's why I bought them.

Now i know, it makes perfect sense. I'm definetely getting a pair, from alba action sports, i love how you you can rermove the ugly stock foot well and put the nerf bar that already had built in foot wells. Thanks for the help guys.
