ok, i get it now. if someone could figure out a way to make nitrous less harmful, and make it so u could jus mix it with gas, instead of having a seperate container, i would use it. until then, i'm stickin to high octane.

If you want some REALLY good fuel, try nitro-menthane. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. Not something for trial and error to get the mixture right. Really bad for the motor, but it makes POWER!!!

There are 2 things that make NOS work

1. It's cold stuff. When it comes out of the pressurized canister, it drops in temperature. This cools the fuel in the carb and makes it denser.
2. When it reaches the cylinder it heats up. At 300C the O and N separate into O2 and N2. You end up with a lot of O2 which is great for combusion.

When the NOS is not flowing, you will run slower than stock, because you have to jet super rich to use NOS. So it's not practical for anything but drag racing. And even if you jet rich, your engine will run very hot.

it shouldnt run much off. the setup my uncles ran engaged a fuel pump and nitrous at the same time (achieving more fuel by using pressure similiar to a FMU) but yes they did step up in jetting as well.
