lol at 4x4 quads

Don't bash anothers ride just because you don't have one. Every quad has its place, i like going through mud and climbing steep terrain on my Big Bear and burning up the trails or MX track on the Raptor.

Guy next to me in the office has a Grizzly. Packed out a whole bull elk on it in one trip last year, from way up in the hills. And they's big hills here. I've packed 'em out on my back and that ain't no fun. The Quadracer wouldn't have been much help there.
At the dunes one of my buddies brings his big Arctic Cat 4x4. We put the big cooler and lawn chairs and all kinds of stuff on it to head over to the lake and dune ride from there on our sport quads. We call that thing the Hummer and it's awesome to have there. Told Mrs. Shady maybe I need a Hummer too, didn't get far with that one.....
We're talking race cars and pickups here, both good at what they do.

the scramblers arent nearly as good as the full blown 4x4's like the foreman and griz/praries.
i leave jumping to my dirtbike, having fun and going fast to my dirtbike. i dont prefer sport quads, i can be fast on my dirtbike. its 4x4 quads and dirtbikes for me! oh and jumping quads scare me i dont care how light they are its so scary when u land on 1 side of the wheels

Its true, the scramblers aren't as utility as the Utes, and they aren't as sporty as the Sports, but if you want the best of both worlds with just 1 ATV, then the scrambler can't be beat. Its still a sporty ride with the chain drive and good power (the 400 scrambler is capable of making 85+ horsepower) while you still have the TRYE 4WD at the flip of a switch so you can play in the mud while the others just sit and watch.

I spend 95% of the time in the sand, but when I go rock crawling with my KFX700, it has 22" tires, CVT, more torque than a grizz, and it's the closest thing to a utlity that still screams in the sand. So I've got the best of both worlds.

i totally aggree with you showstopper. most people around 16-18 want to go fast right? then why would you go out and spent 7-8gs on something that your gonna get bored with a year down the line. u cant go near as fast as you can on a "sport" quad. you can ripe up trails like you can on a "sport" quad. it just dosent appeal to me to be bouncing around on one of them all day long. just my 95 cents

I don't think what type of quad you own determines what kind of riding you do or what you can do, it is what kind of rider you are. My uncle has Grizzly 660 and I have my Z250, and a lot of the time I can get through more mud than he can. He is a less experianced rider (1 year vs. my 5)and takes it easy most of the time, and I ride fullbore but even though he has that big 4x4 I put him to shame sometimes. I can blast through mudholes a lot of the time, while he ends up getting stuck in the middle. It is funny most of the time, except for the few times I have been following him and end up getting stuck behind him and getting covered in mud.
