hoosier tires...help!!

Default hoosier tires...help!!

i have the Huevos 5 video and they show a bunch of quads getting ready to run Pikes Peak. i want to find out how much a set of those hoosier street tires would cost. i'm in the research phase of making a street legal quad. i need to find out how much these type of tires run. thanx for any info!

CroBiker,

Those tires are not DOT aproved.

The tires that are approved are trailer tires that are mounted on ten inch rims. But, depending on who inspects your bike, the rims are marked "NOT DOT APPROVED" so that puts a damper on things.

Also, depending on how the bike is licensed, you have to have a seat belt. Here in Missouri, I could not license the quad as a motorcycle, because it had 4 tires, and with four tires, you had to obey the laws of a car or truck.........brakelights, side mirrors, rear view mirrors, bumbers, turn signals, horn, and the list went on!!!

hey thanx. i'm hopin that i can get it registered as a motorcycle. if it were a car, a seatbelt would be a hazard on a quad. if you fell you would be drug along with the quad. hopefully it would be considered a motrocycle.
