I'm thinking of selling my ds and moving to a Ktm 640 adventure. What do you think it mit be worth?? 2001 Ds-650

This bike has been used but it is the fastest 4-stroke quad on pikes peak 2004 place 6th. I have had the bike dynoed in denver,co (6000' elavation) and it made 57hp and about 50 foot pounds of torque. The engine runs passed 10000rpm and can be a real hand full. I have been radared at over 90mph at 8000' elavation. At sea level the engine hp??
I sure I missed a few things but if need to I could go into more detail I thinking of going and putting it on ebay and selling it for about 9500$ ??

I'ld sell some of the stuff separate.

The 102mm piston and jug should be worth about $500
Tires - especially the Hosiers should find a home
etc.

If you could sell some of the extras for $1000 then get $6,000 for the bike that would probably be what I would expect. . . Thoughts?

Any reason you couldn't put the 102mm bore on? Would the Pami piston work? Could you use a thicker head gasket, base gasket, or take some off the top of the piston?

Now just to find someone willing to spend $6k on a used quad. . .

 

You will do better parting it out..There is a slim chance you will find somebody that has that kind of cash to throw at a used bike.. A quick rule of thumb on a used modded bike is 50% of what you have in it..I know it is a sad but true figure. Look for some free sites to put it on, and see what kind of luck you get. I would not put it on ebay as it is because I think you will not get what you want, and it will cost you $$ just to list it. ( parts do good on ebay though) Good luck
