i have a 03 blaster and i want a z400. i want to know if i get the z, what will happen when i ride with raptors and predators. alot of ppl say that u will be dead even with a raptor until topend, like your 5th gear pinned and the raptor is right next to you, and then veryvery slowly it walks away for an extra 2mph. does the Z400 really do that well with a stock raptor. if i do get the Z and get a full pro series pipe from yoshi, will i beat it in top end?

 

In the sand, the raptor does better than that. Going up hills is no contest against a 400. Like night and day difference. But, I dont think there are dunes in Penn. Anyway, the Z is cool. Get what you want.

nope, a YZF450 or banshee could, bot not the Z400. It' not a drag racer.

 

When My Raptor was Stock there was not one Z400 KFX400 even close to me. They hung with me until 2nd gear and right when I hit 3rd I just Started to Pull Away. 1 Time we Stayed Neck and Neck to see what Had more Top Speed and he was Pinned and then I pinned mine and I left him like nothing. Raptor has about 7 miles an hr edge to a Z400. I see it all the Time my Dads got a Stock Raptor and my buddy has a Z400 and they always line up and it pretty much is just like my results.

 

you wont last with them on a z, but a yfz450 or the honda if it comes out, would keep up with em, and maybe beat, them, i dont know because i have never ridden one yet.

but if you want a good all around quad to ride on trails and such, the z is the way to go

 

Being how you ride a Blaster you're probably a teenager on a limitied budget. Buy a good used Z400 w/ a pipe and filter. You can find them everywhere for 5k or less. Then slap in some hot cams w/ installation 350.. When you want more put on a 39FCR, 400. There's the reatial price of a new one. Want more put in a 440/450, 1500, kit and you will have no problems w/ any of the above machines. This is alot more coin, but will take the gap down to zero.. Good thing is add and spend as your budget allows...A Z440 w/ carb and cams will match a YFZ. The YFZ will handle better till it comes time to back up...[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] LOL
