just to clarify a few things. aftermarket suspension will help with landing a lot, it makes them much smoother and softer. not all aftermarket suspension is set up like hondaracer305 is describing, you can adjust the shocks, and have them built for your type of riding. the shocks are designed to give a smoother ride, and keep the wheels on the ground. they are also designed so that when you jump they soak up the landings.

ok ,i know what your talking about. acually that wasnt what i was talking about, any fool knows better suspention will help with landing. i ment for getting bigger air. and also the pre-load. does that help, cuzz i know thats adjustable on most of if not all aftermarket suspention.

o, ok. i think that the preload adjustment will affect the take off. i have stock suspension on my 400EX and i can preload fairly well with the preload set to the stiffest setting on the front.

I love jumping. If I didnt jump I dont think I would ride anymore. Ive jumped 72' feet uphill on the white ATC 250r in my pics. I owned some heavy equipment and me and my brother built a track in my back yard on about 5 acres. So, I was real familar with the jumps and could shape them at will. I wanted to jump harder but the trike was at its limits. The White ATC250r was a great "thrill" ATV. I could do donuts then wheelie while doing donuts, all my friend would go wild and make me show everyone. The only problem was that when you got the front wheel got to high the rear wheels being on a solid axel want to counter-act each other. When this happens you get body slammed into next week.

I cleared a gap filled with lava and I went about 400-900 feet. A splash of lava came up and melted off the rear part of my quad, so i had to land it on the front tires only and ride a stoppie for about 80-90 feet before I hit another jump and did a triple back-flip. Sad thing is, I woke up right before I landed my quadruple backflip
