300ex or What?
If he's that small, then I'd say a 300 .. not that the Warrior would be too powerful, but it's a bit heavier. Then again, from what I hear the 300EX you have to cross your right arm under your left arm to activate the reverse, which is very silly if you ask me... my point being, at 5ft tall, he might have trouble reaching. I've only ever stood next to a 300EX, so I can't say for sure.
The Warrior is a nice easy machine to handle, and it's also fairly stable, especially for hill climbing. For any MX or fast woods trails, he'd probably be better off with the 300EX.
I would say though, that for the top brand machines (no offense to Kasea or any other brand not commonly known to me) , his only options are the 300EX or the Warrior if he wants a clutch. Unless he wants to step up into the 400's.

i would say he should check out the kasea skyhawk 250. It only whieghs 356# ( you could loos 15# just buy switching wheels). It has 22hp at the crank which is the equvilent of a 300 ex but with less whieght. Plus its a twin cylander. you could get a new 03 OTD for 2,950$.
