In your opinion....

I'm thinking of adding another quad within' the next month or two, something that I can launch a little better than my V. I have no intention of getting rid of the V, don't get me wrong, love that monster. Just time to add to the arsenal<<<(sp?). Please don't go bashing each others quads just give me some reasons why you would or would not buy the same thing again. I'm about 5' 7" 175lbs....
Thanks in advance for your time and imput. Carl

What kind of bike do you prefer? Are you looking for a light weight agile quad like a raptor or a larger quad with more moving room like the DS? Do you have any quams with a standard tranny or are you limiting yourself to the automatic/semiautomatic side of the spectrum?
As far as why I would buy what I have again? Well, anyone who has harnessed the power of a 686 or other big bore power plant in a frame as lightweight as the raptor knows that there is just no going back. The feeling of that much power in a lightweight machine is just awesome and nothing else will fit the bill for me.

have you tried to put in a different spring....I cant remember which company it was but I think there was a red spring that would spin the tires instead of wheeling...just a different option I guess...but like when you say launch what do you mean exactly

HoundDog06- Light and fast is what I'm looking for, with gobs of power , and no I don't have any problems with shifting, all my bikes/quads in the past were manual. Just time for a new toy, I don't drive more than 20 miles per day so I think my 99 F-250 should be good for about another 150 years, I figure I'll add another quad since I don't have any auto loans to bog me down.
Mn Friesen- Don't get me wrong, never getting rid of the V...love it, and I have tried quite a few different primary springs, now I'm running the EPI pink w/3 shims, managable and pulls like a monster forever and then some. By "launch" I'm talking jumping, I've gotten some pretty good air with my V(for a 525lb moose), just wanting a good jumper with good suspension, power, and overall handeling.
Thanks for the feedback..keep it coming-Carl

For a second bike for launching, get the lightest thing you can. 250R or an LT 250. I love jumping mine, and it makes the 4 strokes feel like big pigs in comparison. Except the YFZ which feels pretty good in the air too.
