In your opinion....

Thanks guys...the 450's are looking like good choice, I'm kinda hung up on 4 strokes now, I've had many a two stroke in the past with dirtbikes and 250r threewheelers, loved the agressiveness of the 2 stroke motor, just rather not deal with the top end as often as a "stroke" needs, no big fans of the 400's or Pred 500???? Thanks again - Carl

The KFX400 is no slouch, even in stock trim. I've been riding my fathers alot recently and have no complaints. I know it's no YZF or 450R, but the price is lower and there's enough aftermarket stuff out there to make it better. As much as I love the V, it's a real blast on the 400 with the manual clutch/gearbox.
My buddy has a Pred and is very happy with the bike. I have never ridden it and therefore cannot comment.

Snowbuster, they mean clutch springs. The V Force is an automatic - not manual shift.

A 400 (anybrand) would probably do what you want it to do also...with the money you save from buying one of the new 450's you could probably upgrade the shocks (which chances are you would on the 450's ne ways) and then maybe have some extra money for other mods (not sure how much 400's go for and to lazy to look it up)

I have a predator and love it!!!! its not as light as som eof those others that are listed (450's, 250R, LT250). weighs about 400 pounds. i can say im 6' , 160 pounds, and i can throw it around pretty well. i would reccomend it, dont go for the 2003 tho to be honest, many problems with that, i have an 04 troy lee edition, not a single problem yet.
