250ex vs. tb250 vs. kfx250 Vs. z250
u r wrong about the z250 and 250ex being the same price the z250 is $400 more that the 250ex. Further more the 250ex is only 2 m.p.h. slower that the z250 and the the ex reaches the top speed faster. and its more reliable. also you can take the 400 dollars u save on the ex and go buy a pipe for it and get it going 5- 10 M.P.H. faster than the Z250. so no the z250 is not the best the 250ex is plain and simple.

Way to jump on the bandwagon there BT250racer...
atvguy217 is right on about everything except the 5-10 mph from a pipe. 250ex is best, followed closely by Suzuki's clone of the 250ex, the z250. The 20cc difference in displacement is not enough to make them different. The 250ex has a more efficient powertrain anyway. 250ex = easy choice.
If you don't believe me, wait 20 years and see if there are more 250ex's or z250's on the trails.

THe 250ex and z250 are cute little quads... they're maintainance free, and you don't have to worry about racing them. Their motors were taken from underpowered utes though. a mojave is still the best all around quad of the group though. it handles better than all of the other listed quads, is faster, and is ultimately more fun since it's the only one with a clutch that you named. The ONLY downside is that it has high compression and a kickstarter lol It is also the only one out of the group that will run 60+mph

Atvguy is right, there is no way a stock mojave will run 60+mph. Ive sat on a mojave, but i didnt like it as much as my 300ex (personnal pref.). In fact a mojave will run a hair slower than a 300ex, imo, for better suspension, E-start, and a couple other tiny things, the 300ex is a slightly better choice.
