Their finally doing it - snowmobile backflips! Anyone working on backflips with their quads yet?

 

I saw jay quinlan do a backy on a sled and it was sweet, i would love to try it on a quad this year but i have to make a ramp first,, ill work on it for the summer

 

the back flip on a snowmobile has been around for about a year now...

there is another topic on here that says someone recently tired it and it is on the h-bomb film forum

 

I am also a bmxer. And learned backflips on a bicycle into a foam pit. Man talk about harder than anticipated. I thought i could get it first try but it is the weirdest feeling being upside down 12 ft high. I got it about 4th or 5th try and later could do 720's and backflip 360s but on a quad is unthinkable....... that will be the day, when quads can do flips

jim rippey did it a few years ago on a ski-doo summit 700, its in the movie slednecks 4, now in the 6th one jay quinlan is doing it, once again on a ski-doo, coincidence? i think not[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

probably not because if they reck them there is no loss!! lol j/k

 

yeah, i bleive if u serch under videos on kazaa for snowmobiles u will find a back flip that i beleive is the slednecks one

 

dunestar529: In your opinion why is it so hard to do on a quad? The weight? The scary factor? Just seems like if you could pull it off on a bike then a quad would not be that bad? Just wanted to know what your opinion is on this.

 

That's awesome. I think within the next year or two at the most, quads will be pulling off back flips.
