The pred is deff faster then the rapto but not by much even tho it dosent have reverse it is a much better quad it sits lower and is wider so if your not planning to race but still want to have it wide enough so you can rip on it the pred if for you. the raptor is nice but sits to high and to skinny the 660 engine is nice but is a slow 660(dont get me wrong it is still fast) but the bombadier DS650 according to thelatest issue of dirt wheels tops out at 71 MPH then the pred at 67 and then raptor at 66 and kawasaki's KFX700 at 63. the DS650 may be the fastest but it so big it dosent fit anywhere haha

That was not the top speed, but the speed at a certain distance.

both machines is so much alike in performance i meen that is why this thread is so confusing. if one was clearly better in all aspects we would never see posts like this.ride what you like they are all good quads man these pastfew years has been great noone builds a sorry quad anymore. just pleasegive polaris some respect now yeah they havehadproblems in the past hell who hasnt but every company gets better every year. i feel lucky enough to live in these times of so many great quads to choose from

 

yeah that speed is at a certain distance,them quads go a good 5-10mph faster than that,its like in an older issue of dirtwheels shootout between the yfz and the z400 that put the yfz top speed at 54mph and the z at 51mph.As for the predator and raptor, if racing go with predator,in dune riding choose either and in trails choose raptor (reverse is huge).

 

I owned a DS650 and loved it, but hated the not having a reverse part. The trails here in Texas are cut 5 ft in width, or they are supposed to be. I had a hard time going through the trails. The DS is for the dunes and baja's. I sold it then bought a Raptor and love it. Just got though tricking it out and taking it to the sand dunes. I never owned a Predator but I would buy the Raptor just because of being able to purchase after market parts. The Predator is to new to really trick it out.
