Default buying quad need help

cfw3915 my friend I ride with all the time just bought a warrior. Nice quad. Sure, it is not the biggest, baddest or up to date chassie. But so far it has been dead nuts reliable. From what I have read on this board, this is the rule rather than the exception. They have been out along time so one could be had for cheap. Then you could update with the cash you saved.
About the reverse deal. We ride tight trails and to tell you the truth he does not use it that much. This is the way I see the reverse deal. Reverse on a quad is like a condom. It sits in your wallet for years and does not get used. You take it out and throw it away because you "never" use it; sure enough, the day you do that is the day that you will "really" need it!!!!!!
Have fun whatever you choose!!!!!! And always wear protection!!!

i had 400ex, it was a great machine....it really teaches you to ride better knowing that youll have to pull it from the bushes if you crash or get stuck. it teaches you to have better control of the machine. i havent had reverse in a while now, and the only time i end up pickin my quad up is when i have to get it out of the shed. the 400 is very well balanced for jumps, time tested, a honda, and now are relativly cheap because of the release of the 450s. all the warriors ive seen have been demolished after a few years of woods abuse. ive seen some probs with them. and i think youll outgrow one quickly...especially if you jumping it. also, while all companys build quads cheap from the factory....yamaha tends to build things cheapest from what ive seen.

400ex Its the best mechine for u. All that u have to do is plan not to be able to back up use inclines ect. to roll back wards and they are light too. I bet that the 400ex is faster than the raptor 350 anyway. plus alot cheaper.

It's hard to beat a used 400ex right now for the quality of quad you get for the price.

If you can find a used z/kfx-400, To me that would be your best bet. The horse power is between the honda and raptor. And to me It`s the best bang for the buck right now and reverse just sweetens the pot
The size of the bike would fit you perfect.

Sit on a 400ex, then sit on the z/kfx400. I prefer the 400ex. The ex for the money is going to be your best bet.

A used 400EX really does sound like the best quad for you - you'll get the most bang out of your $ for it.
