Default wow pred and rappy.

my one friend came up today with his new pred with alot of stuff on it and he also brang up his friend that just got a raptor around x-mas with alot of parts on it. i got a chance to hill climb with them both but coulndt decide on the best, the raptor front wants to come up and the pred was a lil but heavy which is the best hill climber???? then both did awsome today but i didnt get to test them out at the high wall and the hole ( the big climbing spots around here ) b/c they had a good bit of water on the bottom. i got to test them out on a couple short but step climbs where you only had about 8 feet to get some speed ( that was all muddy)

Whae you add all the fluids the predator is actually a couple of pounds lighter than a raptor. I think that Yamaha took some liberties with the the weight they claim for the Raptor As to who will win in a hill climb they are very close mostly coming down to mods and rider, but the predator is MUCH easier to keep the front end down with the anti squat rear.

just my .02$

With just a lowering kit on the front, and a flip of the rear linkage, a Raptor can climb almost anything. I know from experience. But I have never climbed with a Predator....I just have experience on the Raptor.

There's a lot to be said for torque. Mine handles great, but I changed my front end to houser long travels and elkas. Put a longer swingarm on the Raptor and the front end becomes much more managable.
