450r vs raptor 660
#12
raptor will win in the long run id say. check to see what top speeds are and thats your answer. i think the raptor has 36hp and the 450r has 30something i dotn remember. but o well who cares. ride to have fun.

Just a correction on hp for raptor.it has 38 and the 450r makes 37.Keep in mind the raptor weighs 399/406 lbs depending on year,450r weighs 350 lbs.(claimed dry weight). As far as top speed they are so
close that if either ones rings weren't broke in properly the other would have the advantage.I am not starting anything but for for a quad with 210 cc less the 450r is right up there with the raptor.

ohh and by the way the 450r and the raptor are even stock for stock in smaller drags but the raptor beats it on top
go ahead bash away honda guys it's the truth it's what I have seen if I have to get a video to prove it I will

Trust me when i say i don't need to be told about comp ratios, carb, etc.I am not some teenager with big dreams,no sense.I am 32 years old and i have a built drag car,hi-po watercraft,snowmobile,zr2 s10,450r,
and i have logged over a million miles driving truck. Not bragging, just letting you know where I am coming from.
Let me break it down for ya.
CC's 450R=449/YFZ-439/raptor-660 comp ratio 450R 10.5.1/YFZ 11.9.1/raptor-9.4.1. max rpms 450R 9850/YFZ-10750/raptor-9200 Weight 450R-350/YFZ-350/raptor-399 Carb 450R-42mm keihin/YFZ-39 fcr
keihin/raptor-twin 33mm mukini bsr...
Now,obviously a big cc engine does not rev out as high as a smaller one(reciprocating mass)whether it is a
quad, car, etc. As far as comp ratio the 450r is middle of the pack. The weight difference is minimal. So what I am saying is the fact that the 450R will hang with both of these quads says something about honda engineering.I don't doubt you may have beat a 450R,but iI have seen a 450R beat a YFZ and many of your
fellow yami fans say they can beat a raptor. When it comes to top speed the raptor has always been known to do 74 mph give or take a couple mph,so unless something has changed that drastically how is it
that you think they are so much faster.I have not radared mine yet but from what i see and hear 450R is around 75 mph and YFZ is 73-74.I am talking stock here,no mods. With mods there are too many variables to consider. This not a flaming, but i have read so many threads dissing the honda and i feel it should be given the respect it deserves.
Just my.03 cents..keep the change!

I'm not trying to diss the honda in anyway and when you drop a tooth on the front it's acceleration is just as quick as a yfz but you lose about 5 mph on top and then you are slower than a yfz even though stock the 450r is faster by like 2 mph. My raptor is basically just for when we go out riding through my friends farms and cruise down the roads, but when I have to put the whoop a$$ on one of my friends in the trails or the mx track I get the yfz out so I was thinking about selling the raptor for the 450r to make that my trail bike and have the yfz strictly set up for mx but I'm waiting for the kawazukicat 450 to come out.

I am not saying you in particular was dissing the 450R,but there are a lot of guys who do.As for top speed ,yes the YFZ will be faster if i drop my front sprocket but it has higher rev limit.basically we could go on about this forever. All i am saying is that both bikes stock for stock have thier pros and cons. It's all about preference-mx YFZ-trails-450R-drags-either because they are very close. Not to leave out the raptor it is a
great quad as well(torque monster),and if iam going to be honest it is probably the best looking one.Ride
hard and enjoy!

In my world, which is sand hill racing. My piped 450R with HRC cam, and a K&N, no air box, is faster than any piped, stock motored Raptor, I have ran yet. A 686, depending on the build, are faster or slower, but not by much. As far as flat land goes, I have no experience against a Raptor.
