do dyno numbers usually runthe same or more often different. Im not familiar with them but the reason I ask is in the October 2003 Dirt wheels they do a shootout with the YFZ 450, modded Z440 and a predator. In that issue the dyno numbers they give for the YFZ are 36.5 equiped with a FMF, and in the March 04 issue the YFZ vs the 450R the dyno numbers are 39.3 stock. I know Dirtwheels isnt the best place to look at or compare quads but what gives.

I should add that in the October issue they state that they had FMF dyno the YFZ and the Z 440 but I couldnt find where they had the March issue dynoed.

What did the Z440 dyno?

And Dirtwheels oftens contradicts themselves. One issue a certain quad or part is the best, the next month it sucks. Just the way they are.

If it's on the same dyno, it should be the same. Usually, no two dyno's produce the same numbers though. But that is a BIG spread on small HP, and I think someone is trying to slant things? Some Dyno operators set the dyno up a little "loose". Look at it this way. Dyno operator #1 says that your quad is putting out 45HP. Dyno operator #2 says that your quad is putting out 50HP. Which one do you want to take your quad to for a tune-up?

Wow. I figured a 440 would break 40hp.
