Default Still Believe in the 2stroke Power

With all the new 4strokes out know, I have ridden the YZF and TRX 450's. I can honestly say that my "Old School Tecate 4" is funnier to ride. What does everyone think?

I will agree that thumpers had alot of low end torque. but 2-strokes just have face melting acceleration

I like the 2-stroke because it forces the rider to be more aggressive. You can't sit back and relax and let the torque pull you through a gear like on a 4-stroke. You've got to ride a 2 cycle hard all of the time and I think that makes you become a better rider. You can take a guy off of a Tecate or a 250R and place him on a new 4-stroke and he'll adjust fine. But if you take someone off of a 4-stroke who has never ridden a 2-stroke and put him on a 250R, Tecate etc. he'll take a while to adjust .

i was wondering about the banshee...is the top end reliable...cuz i kno that two strokes u have to rebuild them a lot...i mean if i rode the thing hard, how long do u think itd last?

Nothing beats a 2 stroke powerband, but go rip a Predator. My favorite quad of all time has got to be the '88 250r so don't think I'm bashing or anything. But the predator has the closest thing to a 2 stroke "ban" feel than any other 4 stroke I've ever ridden. And I have die hard 2 stroke friends that will say the same thing. Best part is no premix, and no beat top ends. But as 1bad250r said about rippin a 2 stroke and not being able to put it around, he's totally right but thats the nice thing about the Preddy it has the best imatation 2 stroke feel plus I can putt it around if I'm feeling tired
