blaster snorkel ?

will taking the snorkel off a 04` blaster help it run faster and or better? Does the snorkel "cork" the motor for air?
And if taking off the snorkel is good, what could be the bad/negative effects??
thx ! ! !

Hmmmmm..........Why would you HAVE to rejet??.........Are you sure, cause most racers say the opposite. The blaster is restricted air wise and doesnt need a change. And you comment about why bother..............UH thats childish. The guy wants a REAL answer, not some childish stuff about "why bother" A blaster can be made VERY quick. Get over it. Its light, quick and can be made very potent with some fairly cheap mods. My son has one and for only $1300.00 and about $800.00 in mods, it will keep up with just about anything stock where we live. So thats why it matters. Its a very fun small quad, thats easy to mod and fairly low cost used.
Most blaster owners, actually will vent the airbox lid with about 6 1" vents. With that set up, you dont need to rejet. The stock blaster Runs rich to begin with, so opening the air restriction helps a good bit. A more free flowing air box, a good set of reeds, a good pipe, etc and you can really move on a blaster.
