23.2 Crank Horse (Stock)
Once I get my unifilter installed and re-jetting dialed in and all that good stuff I'd say I'll be pulling at LEAST a healthy 25HP at the crank
Simple tried tested and true way to tell the stock HP of your machine ... though not necesarily the peak HP. If you know your torque in lbs-ft , and the RPM at which you get that torque, you can calculate your HP.
Stock Warrior makes 20.3lbs-ft @ 6000 RPM ... 20.3 x 6000 / 5252 = 23.3HP
That's not to say that it's the most HP that the engine will make, since the HP peak and torque peak are often different ...
Case in point . . . 2004 Honda Accord 4cyl makes
161lbs-ft @ 4500 RPM = 138HP @ 4500 RPM, but the engines peak HP is rated 160HP @ 5500 RPM. Working backwards that gives ...153lbs-ft of torque at max HP. So you see that the peak torque and peak HP do not occur in the same place.
Oh, and Tecate4Fun .. I agree with Bradracer .. that is one sweet looking machine!!
