Yeah, if I can find a motorcycle swingarm that is a direct bolt in to the frame.

i know in cali to make an ATV street legal it has to meet all the rules that cars due, seatbelts, horn, windsheild, etc. an ATC woule bad a bad idea because of their tendancy to flip. you'd have to lean too much any time you turn, and by the time you got to where u were going, u'd be sweatin. a quad with 1 rear tire, and an anti-sway bar in front with a low ride height and plush suspension would be good. my reccomendation, get a very wide back tire, i don't know if u've ever ridden a snowmobile, but if ur used to a quad, then the back end feels tippy cuz its so narrow. besides, if the quad is designed to turn 2 wheels, and u put 1 skinny wheel on, ur gonna be burning out every time u try to move. I'd also reccomend a high-flow, quiet exhaust, and a big bore kit. a larger gas tank, taller and softer seat, ati-vibe stuff, and a steering damper would be a good idea. i've been dreaming of riding a quad everwhere i go for almost a year now. if you wanted to, you could possibly mate an ATV swingarm to a dirtbike swingarm. i'd cut the axle carrier off the ATV swingarm, and cut the dirtbike swingarm about 2 in. forward of the tire, then weld it real strong. u could also make the space where the original dirtbike tire wider, and put a street bike tire on. all of these r jus ideas that i've had, nothing has been tested or tried. good luck, and if u succeed, make sure u post videos and pics.

Better check with secretary of state or D.O.T. . I believe michigan is one of the few states that has a ground clearance law. which means you may have to raise the atv up even higher and making even more tippy than they already are on the roads.

The time and money and head-aches from this project..... why not just buy a used motorcycle? you could prolly find one cheaper than a used quad and be riding it tomorrow, instead of working on converting and fabricating.

My dad's Grizzly and Kodiak are both street legal, all he had to do was put a horn and 1 small rearview mirror on the end of the handlebars.

This is in AZ.
