i went over to a friends house, i rode his 400ex damn..... what a shame. i thought it would have been a lot faster. but,..... i think it would have felt a lot faster if i hadnt ridden the raptor already lol. im thinking that a 400 is just a little too low powered for me. maybe too heavy to pull my weight

Get the z, and if you need more power, pipe it for $500. Rappy's are nice if you can get used to the tippy things. Wider a-arms and axle on a rappy though, and your good to go. And whoever said you don't need reverse has obviously never ridden a trail that suddenly ends with a 30+ foot drop that suddenly appears from a spring rain wash out. When your front tires are hangin over the edge, and you care about your quad, you'll wish you had reverse. And when your dug in half way up a dune or gravel pile, it's kinda hard to just spin it arond. If you aren't mxing get reverse, then you'll never have the IwishIwoulda's. I wouldn't trade my z for a fully modded anything without reverse, except to sell it and buy a fully modded z.

Enjoy it! First thing I'd do if I were you, though, is get an extra oneway. It sucks being a mile or more out when that thing decides to shoot craps. They'll work intermittently for awhile, but when it goes out, your stuck.
