Default which is the better duner???

first of all i am a 13 year old with 3 years of riding experience. i ride dunes and trails, but mostly dunes. i currently have an '86 yamaha moto-4 225cc. ive outgrown this quad and i am looking to upgrade to a faster machine. my 2 choices are the suzuki z400 or the yamaha raptor 660r. my question is: which one is the better duner? im looking for which one is a better sand drag racer, which is a better hillclimber, which is faster, which handles better, and which has all around better dune performance. also, im not gonna modify the quad or put paddles on it, so this applies to the stock machine with the stock tires. thanks for any help, guys, i really appreciate it.

Looks as though you have an 03 Z400? I would say the best handling by far has been the Kawisuzucat. In all of the mags that I read and what I have seen the Z400 just has a better handling suspension (besides some weak welds). The Raptor is definately a faster bike by far! Between the two the Raptor looks as though it might suit your riding style better. They are both good quads, it depends if you want more speed?

Go with the Raptor! Since your dad already has a Z400 shake things up a bit. I am sure you two will be trading off and when you get the Raptor and race your dad and beat him I am sure he will be wanting to trade! LOL

it will probably come down to which one can we find in good condition for the cheapest since im not the one paying for it! but that means im much more likely to get a raptor b/c theres much more raptors out there than z400s. and if i do end up getting the z400, dad wont have an excuse when i beat him!

The Z is a better all-around machine. The Raptor is a bit tall and narrow for my taste. True, the Z is a little slower in a drag, but beats the Raptor in handling, especially when you go trail riding.
