i know the feeling. Hence the reason my baby is in a few pieces. I'm on the wrong coast.

The guide lines for rebuild are way to aggressive, especially for the banshee. I owned my banshee for six years, put nearly 1500 miles or more on one top end. The statement made earlier in this thread implying that banshee's are Temperamental could not be farther from the truth. In almost stock form ( piped and airbox mods ) it will run forever with no noticeable drop off in performance. I only have two years on my rappy so I can not vouch for its durability. I don't anticipate changing top end's out of necessity.... only out of need for more power ( kenz 686 kit ).

I've had my YFZ for a little over a year now. It runs as strong today as when I took it out for the first time. Installed a full HMF pipe, YZ needle, Pro Flow kit, and the cam mod. Not one motor issue what so ever. Very pleased with the performance and reliability of my YFZ. I change my oil religiously with full synthetic.

I was looking at your pic's.... you have owned some awesome quads, especially the 295r. At the bottom of your signature it says "still waiting for the ultimate quad". How close is the yfz to "the ultimate quad" in your opinion? Due to your abundant experience, I will put allot of weight into your response. BTW, LS Utah is my old stomping ground, now I ride at Glamis.

The Dunereview forums have been down for a while. Hopefully Brad will get it up and running soon.
My YFZ is by far the best quad I have owned. It turns, jumps, handles, and runs awesome. The best balanced package available right now in my opinion. I felt my Dale had better rear suspension but that's it. I was waiting on the Honda 450R but I felt it came up a little short. A nice quad, but not for me.
I personally could never own another two stroke quad after owning my YFZ. ( I owned over a dozen 250R's and I'll never go back ). It does everything well. If I raced all the time I believe the frame would have some issues. Can't wait to see the new Suzuki 450 and other rumored quads when their released.
