What is better a stock 400ex or a 250R.. I debating on which one I would rather have... I like the dependability of the 4 stroke but like the power of a 2 stroke...What do you think??? 400EX is an 01' and the 250R is a 89'.......

the 250r is a way better bike
hands down..............
woods=better
drag racing=better
mx=better
tt=better

the only thing that could matter is 2 stroke or 4 stroke reliablility.......
But, the 250r can be way FASTER.....

stock 250r vs stock 400ex
the R wins...

I'm gonna have to agree with macanic on this one. The 250r is the better bike. It has the good mix of awesome handling and enough power to have fun doining anything. Plus the 250r has so much more potential than the 400ex when it comes to getting more power out of your engine.

But I have to ask, why post a thread like this if you already have a 400ex?

By the time you buy a 15 year old 250R and go into a big bore powervalve motor to try and make real power, you could afford a YFZ and be way ahead in all aspects. JMO!

Yep, thats what it is, an opinion. 250R still handles better.
