neither....get a blaster, they are cheaper and faster......but if you want one of those that you selected I would get the 250EX. I used to have a recon and it was indestructable, and they have the same motor.

I am not a fan of reviews, because it is someone elses opinion....but if you want reviews; dirt wheels did one 250ex vs. Z250, and the little 229 cc motor out accelerated the Z and the claimed it handled better because it was lower. Displacement isn't everything.

They all have there strengths and weaknesses like my Z has a rough ride but it can take more air of jumps and stuff compared to the ex but the ex has a nice plush ride at slower speeds the blaster I have heard is a very fun quad. I would just look at what u want out of your quad and then choose.

This is an interesting question. It seems that it depends on what you want from a quad. The most important things I wanted from my quads was ease of driving, smooth ride, stable frame and good brakes. To me this translated into auto transmission, single handed braking, long/soft suspension travel, wide track/wheel base and hydraulic disc brakes. I am not high performance oriented, so I didn't consider the fastest quad. So for me to answer the question, I would say the Trailblazer. Incase your interested; I wrote my experiance here:

The blaster is a good quad if you are under 5'8" and weigh under 175. Basically it is a small quad the others are better for bigger people but for lack of performance products you may need to move to a more powerful quad after riding them for a while. From what Ive read the z250 has a better fit and finish but loses to the 250ex in drag because of its notchy and somewaht difficult shifting.
